GOVONE, near CUNEO in PIEDMONT
Wine tasting? You should definitely do that in Piedmont! Govone is 15 km from Asti and Alba and, with just over 2,000 inhabitants, is a charming village in the province of Cuneo in the heart of the vineyards.
The landscape of this area is very diverse. The wild beauty of the forts alternates with the very hilly slopes of the vine, the shadows of the centuries-old chestnut groves with the graceful flowers of the orchards and the magnificent castles.
This small village lies at the foot of an enchanting Savoyard castle and is surrounded by winding hills. The fields built over in winter are covered in white and almost magically transform into the so-called “magical land of Christmas”, which is also known for its Christmas markets.

Our experience takes place in these Piedmont hills, known worldwide for their wine.
This tour is dedicated to the taste and aromas of Italy.
In a place surrounded by greenery you will taste different wines and learn more about the production techniques.
After a first introduction, you will discover the main elements by tasting some wines from Piedmont.
You can choose between two topics:
*wine tasting – wines from Piedmont, for beginners – approx. 2 hours:
a. basic knowledge: why tasting, goals, the basic technique (colour, smell, taste)
b. brief introduction to local wines
c. tasting of 3 wines: Arneis, Barbera, Nebbiolo
d. snacks (grissini, salame, cheese)
*Production of local grapes: wines with great personality and potential, but less known – approx. 2 hours
For those who already know the traditional Langa and Roero wines and have curiosity and passion to discover new ones:
a. brief introduction into the areas of “rediscovered” indigenous vines
b. tasting of 3 wines: Nascetta, Ruchè or Pelaverga, Malvasia from Casorzo
c. snacks (grissini, salame, cheese)
