Description

The mushroom kingdom is a world in itself. The types of mushrooms are innumerable. They can grow practically anywhere: from forests to meadows, from deserts to rocky soils, even in burned soils.

Some species are very toxic, many others are edible and have therapeutic properties.

ANYWAYS.EXPERIENCE: LOOKING FOR MUSHROOMS IN PIEDMONT

Mushrooms in PiedmontEmbedded in the untouched nature of Piedmont, you can get closer to the world of mushrooms.

During the summer, you can join the mushroom picking experience in a chestnut grove by Viola Castello in the province of Cuneo.

We are in the Mongia Valley, a small valley next to the main valley of Tanaro.
The gentle slopes form the passage between the mountains of the Ligurian Alps and the hilly area of the Langhe.

It is located in the center of a natural amphitheater, surrounded by mountains that protected the valley from urbanization.

From a naturalistic point of view, the Mongia Valley is characterized by large chestnut trees that cover more than 60% of the soil.

In this setting, you walk with our experts through the centuries-old chestnut forests, surrounded by untouched nature, in symbiosis with the forests, looking for porcini mushrooms as well as other types.

You will have the opportunity to take home any mushrooms found along the way.
Upon request we can organize an aperitif for you in the chestnut grove (savoury dish, sweet dish, chestnut beer).

For a few hours, forget about obligations, work stress and everyday life.
Find inner calm and free your mind by taking a walk in the forest.

Enjoy the smells of trees and flowers, the tranquility of the surroundings, the contact with the animals of the forest.
Treat yourself to a day in nature while talking about recipes, mycology, trees and flowers, the environment and history during this anyways.experience: “LOOKING FOR MUSHROOMS IN PIEDMONT”.
