Did you know that the Italian bee is the bee that produces the most honey in the world? It is the Ligustica breed, to be specific, which probably comes from Tuscany.

In this experience, you will discover curiosities like this and many other nuances and peculiarities related to the production of honey and the world of bees.

The experience will take place in a Tuscan countryside, in the village of Carmignano, where you get to know the area and the way of producing honey that characterizes its taste, shape and colour.

Carmignano is a Tuscan village nearby Prato, rich in Etruscan treasures, art, beautiful landscapes and delicious local products.

Here, surrounded by greenery, let yourself be inebriated by the scents of the hive. An expert producer will explain not only how busy these small insects are, but also how important they are for mankind.

The world of bees goes far beyond the production of a nutritious product such as honey. There is a whole universe hidden behind the millions of wing palpitations of these creatures.

We will travel together through the entire production chain of honey, from the flower to the jar. We will see and experience firsthand the respect that true beekeepers have for these animals. You will discover what qualities and characteristics a “good honey” should have, taste it and analyze the properties that each type brings with it.

The experience will be accompanied by a small tasting of honey along with other typical products of the area.

You will return home with lots of information on this important part of nature that is so vital for mankind, and with a sweet souvenir in your pocket to take with you.

After this experience, we will be more aware of the ever-existing importance of nature.
