    Description

Calabria is a region full of scents and colours, surrounded by the clear waters of the Ionian and Tyrrhenian Seas.

The toe of the boot surprises with an incredible landscape. It offers rocky as well as sandy coasts and an untouched hinterland between forests, mountains, waterfalls and lakes.

It is perfect for history and culture lovers as well as for nature and hiking enthusiasts.

Between good food and tradition, it is the land of bergamot, licorice, silk, Tropea onion, ‘Nduja and chili pepper.

Furthermore, you can find a special tradition of craftmanship that is typical of beautiful Calabria: the Calabrian guitar making.

ANYWAYS.EXPERIENCE: THE GUITAR MAKERS, A CALABRIAN TRADITION

THE LUTE MAKERS THE CALABRIAN TRADITIONThe tradition of guitar making has been passed down from generation to generation. It is a story of experienced hands who shape the wood to model an instrument.

This experience is a tribute to the masters of sound and craftsmanship and to the tradition of the Calabrian guitar makers.

The guitar was brought to Italy by the Arabs, who introduced it to Sicily and Calabria around the IX-X centuries.

This tour will be a journey to discover this world through art and sound.

Our guitar maker is a very passionate person who spends his days smelling the wood and creating his works of art.

During this tour, you will learn more about this art, watch part of the realisation of an instrument, take part in it and hear the sounds that result from it.

A small tasting of local products rounds off the offer.
