Creating a leather mask is an art that requires skill, time and patience. Thanks to their mastery and experience, the artisans of leather manage to shape the leather, giving it a face of the chosen mask. What procedures do the masters of leather follow to build these masterpieces?
During this experience dedicated to learning, discover the techniques of making masks as well as the evolution of an era and its people, reflecting cultures and traditions. An expert craftsman will accompany you on this journey, guiding you from the preparation of the clay and plaster cast, to the processing of the leather on the mask and subsequently finishing and coloring.
In the background you will have an enchanting view: the beaches of the Sinis peninsula, a coastline with white stretches of sand of Is Arutas, the pond of Cabras, known for its numerous waterfowls including pink flamingos and the archaeological site of Tharros, an open-air museum.
