This experience is about glass casting, and gives us an insight into the world of glass.
Performing glass fusion means assembling different pieces that, in contact with heat, become so fluid that they melt together in an irreversible way.
The cooling process is very slow and allows the total reorganization and recovery of the molecular stability that the material possessed before being heated.
Using two main tools, heat and gravity, the craftsman creates his work made of glass.
Here, in the historic center of Brescia, a city that rises between the hills of the Prealps and the Po Valley, once inhabited by the Ligurians, then by the Etruscans and the Celts in the Bronze Age, until it got the title of Roman colony, you will have the opportunity to visit a glass-casting laboratory.
You will discover more about this art through a demonstration of glass processing and cutting, with an introduction to the history of the laboratory, a brief description of the material, historical notes, and a description of the machinery, moulds and ovens.
The experience will be accompanied by a tasting of local products. A glass object will be our gift to you, a nice souvenir of this experience.
