Description
THE HIGH-PLATEAU RENON
The Renon plateau is a hiking paradise not far from the city of Bolzano. No more than 16km away from the city, it rises about 1,000m a.s.l. between the rivers Isarco and Talvera. Located a short distance from the capital, it is easily reached by a cable car. The photographic tour dedicated to this area will be a unique opportunity to discover this area of Trentino Alto Adige characterized by numerous paths, flat and mountainous areas.
The Renon is considered a wonderful mountain area. From this suggestive plateau, you can enjoy a distinctive view of the Dolomites, a World Heritage Site.
What makes this plateau so special is above all its strategic position and the variety of its landscape: from low-altitude vineyards to high mountain vegetation, interspersed with earth pyramids, a bizarre phenomenon of natural erosion.
Above the grassy and wooded slopes of the Isarco and Adige valleys rise the majestic Dolomite peaks and the glaciers of the southern slopes of the Alps.
