As promised, we continue with Silvia’s lastest recipe … we present you the creamy alternative to Limoncello.
This is also an excellent liqueur to enjoy after dinner. Cin cin !!!!
PREPARATION OF THE LIMONCELLO CREME
6-8 untreated lemons depending on the size
1 bottle of alcohol 95%
2 l long-life milk
1 kg sugar
2 vanilla beans or 2 packets vanillin
Grate the lemon zest.
Put the lemon zest in a sealable bowl and add the alcohol.
Let sit for at least a month.
Then remove the lemon zest from the alcohol.
Pour the alcohol through a dish towel into a bowl.
(in the photo, you see two bowls, as Silvia was preparing double the amount of limoncello)
Combine the milk and sugar and bring to boil.
Let it cool down and mix it with the lemony alcohol also using a dish towel.
Pour into bottles and store in the refrigerator or freezer for at least a month.
