WOMEN, SPRING… AND SIENA!

Happy first Monday of the month!

This month we’re in Siena.
But why Siena in March?
Today, no, we won’t talk about the famous Palio di Siena.
Nor about its iconic Piazza del Campo, the shell-shaped square you’ve probably seen at least once in your life.
So what are we talking about?
March is the month when people usually talk either about spring or about women.
And we’ll talk about both.
But why from Siena?
LET’S START WITH SPRING

March is the month when vineyards begin to bud and the hills dress themselves in bright green.
A cloak dotted with red poppies and golden broom flowers, with nothing to envy from haute couture.
So tell us: is there even one reason NOT to visit Siena and Tuscany in spring?
We don’t think so.
And since we’ve decided that this month we’re in Siena, let’s take a walk together through the cobbled streets of this beautiful city.
Here you can climb one of the tallest medieval towers in Italy: the Torre del Mangia.
A 14th-century “skyscraper.” 102 meters high.
Does that sound little to you?
To reach the top, there are about 400 steps.
An elevator? Of course not.
Medieval towers aren’t particularly fond of modernity.
But the view, we promise, rewards every single step.
THE WOMEN OF SIENA

And here we are at the second point.
Siena is not only beautiful. It’s also an example.
In 2025, Il Sole 24 Ore declared it the Italian city with the best quality of life for women.
Not for just one reason, but based on 14 indicators, including: female employment, women-led businesses, safety, and investment in younger generations.
For the first time, Siena reached the top of this ranking, also thanks to projects carried out in schools and a clear vision for the future.
Mayor Nicoletta Fabio has strongly focused on opportunity and balance. And the numbers seem to prove her right.
In short: not only mimosa flowers (the yellow flowers traditionally given to women in Italy on March 8th).
But substance above all.
And if you’re curious who joins Siena on the podium:
second place goes to Florence,
third to Perugia.
Siena shows that beauty and quality can go hand in hand.
That culture and well-being are not abstract concepts.
That living well is not a luxury… it’s a possible balance.
ONE MORE IDEA…
And what if this time you wanted to give a different gift to your special woman?
Not the usual bouquet of mimosa.
But an experience. A memory. A piece of Italy.
For the woman you love.
For your mother.
For your partner.
For your sister.
For a special friend.
For a colleague you admire.
You can give a workshop, an authentic experience, a distance adoption, an Italian course, or one of our books dedicated to the Dolce Vita.
It’s not just a gift.
It’s a way to tell her she’s special.

Buon Marzo,
